It makes me squirm. I don’t understand the decision to have variable frame rate in animation. It is difficult to look at. I can’t be the only one who has that reaction.

I still hope for the day 2D animation will make a strong comeback in the cinema industry, we seriously need more visual variety in it. At least it looks better than the usual “photosurrealism” 3D animation we typically get from Disney.

It gives the animation a good snappy/weighty feel to the characters’ motion. Imo, it’s better than the buttersmooth, yet impactless, 60 fps/1s animated films some ppl seem to prefer.

I’m loving the look of literally everything. Bebop and rocksteady are looking so amazing, I love all the voices, and I’ve warmed up to these designs. Only bad thing is April. And I’m not mad that she’s black. It’s just everything about her is not to my liking, to say the least. Spider-verse has changed the course of the animation industry forever, and I’m excited to see what’s to come next.

Loving the animation style, absolutely gorgeous, a couple notes though as a fan:
-Keep the next reboots on hold for like, 20 years. I love some turtles and I love new directions, but we don’t need a new one each year lol.
-Make a new character in place of April! I think the design and everything else is great, but it is VERY different. I’d love to see a commitment and for them to lean in on some new faces in this familiar franchise.

I actually love the idea of actually seeing them as Younger Teenagers. Usually they’re obviously around like 16-19 year olds personality wise but these guys are fresh outta 6th grade. I’m actually interested to see this film and this cast is literally stacked.

I kind of like that they are actual teenagers like 13-year-olds rather than most versions at least have them seem 20-year-olds. It’s something that’s only explored in flashbacks but what would it be like for a middle age Splinter dealing with 4 growing boys just starting their ninja training? Alexander Avila День назад +1 @Pingas y sus Polémicos Personajes they could but i don’t think they should lose that “true classic superhero tale” aspect that iconic heroes have, TMNT specifically goes with this through the acknowledgment of the shallowness of people in any matter and the temptation of violence because many blindly justify it. This is something that shows up in the orignal work.

I’ve never been a TMNT fan, but I’m legit excited about this. This is the first time I’ve actually seen the Turtles look, sound, and act like actual teenagers.

One of my favorite things about the TMNT franchise is that no two versions are the same. If you were to ask me which was my favorite, I honestly couldn’t pick. Each version has its own fun and unique way of portraying action, comedy and emotion, family dynamics, and what it’s like to be a kid. Yet through almost 40 years, the heart of the show – a wacky but loving family who will do anything for each other – has stayed true.
This is why no matter how they look and no matter how they sound, these characters will forever have a special place in my heart. ❤❤❤

I’m exited to see this movie, I’m so glad we have spider man into the spider verse, if we didn’t we wouldn’t have great ( and decent ) movies like Mitchell’s vs machines, the bad guys, puss in boots 2, and this. Really like how they cast the turtles to actual teenagers, make it feel a bit relatable to the movie. And I’m really by all means ready to see Jackie Chan as master Splinter, hope he’s like the wise and noble sensei/father to the turtles and not the lazy coach potato like we had back in Rise ( but make him comedic also ). The two main gripes I have for the movie is April o’ Neil and the casting for the turtles. For April I’m not liking her design really, And I was hoping she would be an adult and a news report like back from the 80s and become sort of a mother figure for the turtles whenever they need help with stuff. And for the casting of the turtles, now I’m really liking their voices in these but I’m gonna make this short, does anything else notice that Donnie is the only one that sounds like a 6 year old in the entire team. I don’t know maybe he didn’t hit puberty yet or how he is the youngest turtle ( like from a switch from Mikey becoming the little brother ) and I think mikey’s voice actor should have switched from Ralph to Donnie like look here’s my switch from the the cast.
